CDL Quest helps learners practice for Commercial Driver's License knowledge, pre-trip, mock exam, and driving-scenario study. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
Information CDL Quest Handles
CDL Quest may store your selected learning profile, including your display name, testing state, CDL class, endorsements, study progress, quiz attempts, mock exam results, road-scenario completions, pre-trip practice results, and earned badges.
The app also stores local preferences and progress on your device. Some local progress can be lost if you delete the app before a successful iCloud backup.
iCloud Backup
CDL Quest can use CloudKit to save profile settings and progress records to your private iCloud database after you enable iCloud backup. Local progress works without iCloud, and CDL Quest does not require an app account or password.
CloudKit backup is used only to back up and restore CDL Quest data for the signed-in iCloud user. CDL Quest does not receive your full payment card number, iCloud password, or iCloud email address from this backup flow.
Purchases
CDL Quest uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and Pro entitlement status. RevenueCat processes an app user identifier associated with purchase and entitlement state so purchases and restorations can be recognized. RevenueCat also processes purchase history and paywall interaction events, such as paywall impressions and purchase-button interactions, for subscription analytics and app functionality.
Apple processes App Store transactions. CDL Quest does not receive or store your full payment card number, and CDL Quest does not send your study answers or progress records to RevenueCat.
How Information Is Used
- Save and restore study progress.
- Personalize your study route by state, CDL class, and endorsements.
- Track quiz, exam, pre-trip, road-scenario, and badge progress.
- Confirm Pro access, purchases, and restored purchases.
- Measure purchase and paywall performance so CDL Quest can evaluate and improve the upgrade experience.
- Provide iCloud backup deletion and support.
- Troubleshoot cloud sync, purchase entitlement, or backup-deletion issues when you ask for support.
CDL Quest does not sell personal information or use this information to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
iCloud Backup Deletion
If you enable iCloud backup, the Profile screen includes a delete-backup flow. Deleting iCloud backup data removes CDL Quest backup records from iCloud and then clears local study progress and preferences on this device after the backup deletion succeeds.

Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, delete the app, reset progress, or use the in-app backup deletion flow. iCloud backup data remains in your private iCloud database until you delete it through CDL Quest or manage it through Apple iCloud settings.
Apple may retain App Store transaction records as needed to process purchases, prevent fraud, and satisfy legal or platform requirements. Some App Store transaction records cannot be deleted by CDL Quest.
RevenueCat may retain the app user identifier, purchase and entitlement records, and related paywall-interaction records for as long as needed to provide purchase functionality and analytics, prevent fraud, resolve support issues, and satisfy legal or platform requirements.
You may withdraw from optional iCloud backup by turning it off and may delete its records through the in-app delete-backup flow. You may clear local study data in the app or by deleting the app, and you may manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account settings. To request deletion of data controlled by CDL Quest or ask us to coordinate an applicable request with a service provider, contact creatormarketinggroup@gmail.com. Requests remain subject to records Apple, RevenueCat, or CDL Quest must retain for security, transaction integrity, or legal obligations.
Third-Party Services
- Apple for iCloud backup and App Store purchases.
- RevenueCat for purchase entitlement management, purchase restoration, and purchase/paywall analytics.
CDL Quest requires service providers that receive user data from the app to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by Apple's App Review Guidelines. These providers also process information under their own privacy policies, contractual safeguards, platform rules, and applicable law. CDL Quest does not authorize them to use CDL Quest data for cross-company advertising tracking.
Children
CDL Quest is intended for CDL learners and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact creatormarketinggroup@gmail.com.

Changes
CDL Quest may update this policy as the app, backend, or release requirements change. The updated effective date will show when the policy changes.
